Macallan Folio 1 is the very first Folio in the Macallan Archival Series of superior single malt whiskies. This highly coveted Scotch was released in 2015 and is aged in curated sherry casks for an undisclosed amount of time. Released in a mere 2,000 bottles available exclusively from the distillery, Folio 1 speaks to the first time the Macallan appeared in the renowned Times newspaper, helping to bolster the brand’s now exceptionally respected standing in the world of premium Speyside whisky. The nose and palate intertwine with delicate notes of vanilla bean, toffee, orchard fruits, herbs, and just a hint of citrus. Each release in the series includes a beautifully decorative collector’s tin and a hardcover, illustrated book telling the story of the Macallan’s memorable advertising moments through the 1970s, 80s, and 90s.
