Macallan Rare Cask Black

First launched in 2015 as a travel retail-only release from their 1824 Masters Series, The Macallan Rare Cask Black is peated Highland single malt Scotch derived from a vatting of less than 100 unique casks – a majority of which were first distilled as far back as 1980. These selections consist of sherry-finished whiskies from mostly 1st fill ex-sherry European oak casks. Bottled at 48% ABV, The Macallan Rare Cask Black is a highly-prized Scotch whisky said to be the only one of its kind from this distinct distillery and is never to be produced again! Featuring aromatic notes of delicate smoke and spice over hints of pepparkakor and figs, this elegant quaff layers the tongue in sweet Demerara sugar, peat, and wet earth seasoned with ginger.
