The second offering from The Macallan‘s annual limited edition series, the Harmony Collection, The Macallan Intense Arabica was released in 2022 and is a remarkably rare ballot-only iteration and a spectacular follow-up to the Rich and Fine Cacao releases. The Harmony Collection is Macallan’s latest line of limited edition single malt scotch whiskies designed to champion sustainability whilst celebrating ‘perfect pairings’ and harmonious flavor profiles from the coffee world. Bottled at 88-proof, the Macallan Intense Arabica is aged in sherry-seasoned oak casks and is a complex play on the classic ‘cappuccino’, focalizing strong coffee and milk chocolate notes. An environmentally conscious limited edition, the box is made from discarded cacao husks, while the whisky itself is produced with sustainability and zero-waste in mind.
